At Country Boy Hardware, we’re more than just a store—we’re a living part of local history. Our roots in Cato run deep, with a hardware legacy that has stood on this ground since 1875.
Over the past century and a half, this establishment has weathered every storm, including a devastating fire in 1918. It was rebuilt in 1922 and passed through dedicated hands—from O.E. Herrinton until 1928, to Pooler Hardware, and then Bramble in 1960. While the names changed, the commitment to the community remained under the banner of Cato Hardware until May 2022, when we opened our doors as Country Boy Hardware.
As a family-owned and operated business, we carry that 150-year tradition forward with honesty, quality, and care. Our mission is simple: to provide a wide selection of products and services—including specialized shop services like building custom-made hydraulic hoses—at fair prices with customer service you can count on.
In 2024, we brought that "Country Boy" spirit to the digital frontier. By partnering with our primary distributor, we expanded to offer direct-to-home shipping from 15 strategic locations across the United States, delivering professional-grade gear from coast to coast.
Now, in 2026, we are streamlining your experience even further. We are updating our digital platform to offer more competitive shipping rates and faster service. We’re also excited to announce that our custom hydraulic hose ordering will be available online soon, bringing a cornerstone of our shop directly to your screen.
